The quality three star Toraja Heritage Hotel blends traditional Torajan style with modern amenities, within a stunning natural setting. Perched 700 metres above sea level, the hotel boasts views of the mountain range and rice paddy fields, as well as its own five-hectare tropical garden. Towering roofs shaped like a ship prow reflect the Toraja signature architecture, and all of the rooms and suites have been decorated with Toraja handicrafts, with suites offering the added luxury of a marble bathroom or balcony. Regular cultural shows of music and dance are performed in the restaurant, alongside local and European cuisine. After a day of exploring the wilderness by mountain bike or on foot, the Marampa Spa and outdoor swimming pool are a welcome retreat.
