Our rating: Premium | Property style: Tented Camp

Nestled on Pom Pom Island in a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Pom Pom is a wonderful choice for visitors looking to enjoy what the delta is really about: superb game viewing in beautiful surroundings. Nine tents make up the camp, including a double sized family tent accommodating up to four people. All tents have en-suite bathrooms which are partially open to the elements, adding a wild feel. The tents are shaded by large groves of trees to help keep them cool which is very welcome, especially in the summer months. The large main area of the lodge is a thatched roof, open lounge area furnished with sofas and deep armchairs and housed a small curio shop, the bar and dining area. The campfire is a lovely spot to sit around during the evenings and share tales of a day in the bush, whilst the swimming pool is always popular during the day to escape the afternoon heat. Being on a private concession makes Pom Pom an excellent spot to enjoy game drives both night and day. Mokoro canoe safaris are also offered and there is the opportunity to enjoy fishing trips from the camp as well.
