Nestled away on the banks of the Rufiji River, this camp is a haven of tranquillity and a superb choice for visitors looking to enjoy a relaxed safari through this wonderful wilderness area. There are 14 rooms in total at Rufiji River Camp, with 11 classic tents and 3 suites, all of which are set on raised platforms and covered with a thatched roof. The classic tents are lovely and spacious with hardwood floors, en-suite bathrooms, solar heated water and mosquito net draped beds. The suites all have a private plunge pool where guests can relax and escape the heat of the day. The two-level main area of the camp overlooks the Rufiji River which has a downstairs dining area, whose terrace leads out right over the river, whilst the upstairs coffee lounge is a very popular spot to enjoy the stunning views. There swimming pool is covered with plenty of sun loungers to lounge and shelter by during the day. Activities at the camp can include game drives, guided walks, boat safaris and overnight fly camping excursions.
