Our rating: Premium | Property style: Tented Camp

Dramatically located and exquisitely designed, Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is one of the newest additions to the Namibian safari circuit. The design of the camp has environmentally friendly, full solar power and they work with the local Anabeb, Torra and Sesfontein Conservancies to put back into the local community. The camp has seven standard and one family tent, so that they are able to offer a personalised and attentive service. The tented rooms have all been designed with sweeping canvas rooves; light, minimalistic interiors; spacious, well-appointed bathrooms at the rear; and views from the front deck that span out over the dramatic desert scenery. The main lodge has a similar design to the rooms and hosts the swimming pool, dining room and lounge area as well as the campfire area where guests tend to congregate in the evening. Guided activities can be expected in the mornings and afternoons and generally include day and night game drives, guided walks and birding excursions. Day drives or scenic flights out to the seal colonies and shipwrecks of the Skeleton Coast pay also be added if staying more than three nights.
