Posada Del Angel
Luxury
Outstanding service and facilities, giving you the 5* experience
Our rating: Luxury | Property style: Boutique Hotel
Established in 1993, Posada del Angel was one of the first luxury boutique hotel’s in Antigua. Four blocks from the centre, this stylish hotel has just seven cosy rooms with each suite decorated uniquely with native textiles and antiques and some with fireplaces. The décor throughout the hotel really draws on the building’s and the town’s colonial roots. The rooftop terrace has wonderful views of the surrounding volcanoes and grid like town. Many of the small, boutique areas choose to forgo an onsite restaurant owing to the plethora of fine dining establishments on the hotel’s doorstep. Although there isn’t a restaurant, breakfast is served every morning on the terrace. The mansion building surrounds a central patio with a quaint garden and there is a small, plunge pool to cool off during the warm afternoons.

Meson De Maria, Antigua
This is an excellent mid-range hotel with 20 rooms and beautiful colonial décor. They offer a bed and breakfast service and due to the central location, it is no trouble to go out into Antigua for dinner in one of the many nearby restaurants. There are standard rooms and suites available, all decorated in a stylish and elegant colonial style with local textile adornments and a nice roof terrace from where to enjoy the panoramic views of Antigua and the dramatic surrounding volcanoes.
