El Convento is an award-winning luxury hotel within the UNESCO city of Antigua. Across from the Convent of Las Capuchinas and four blocks from central park, this stylish recreation of a 16th century convent reflects its historic and colonial charm without sacrificing any comforts. Enjoy the green oasis of the inner courtyard, draped in hanging vines and a candle lit glow. The small, refreshing pool provides an ideal spot to sample the delicious gastronomic dishes and accompanying wines for which the hotel is known. Intricate details in each of the twenty-six suites provides a unique charm, with stone pillars, beamed ceilings or distressed walls.
