The 'Along the Frontier' trip to North Pakistan was one of the best trips I have ever taken. Never in my experience has the hand of friendship been offered so profusely and so warmly. We definitely had to run the 'cuppa tea' gauntlet as we would never have completed the itinerary had we accepted every offer. We ran out of superlatives for the scenery but beautiful, savage, magnificent, brutal, wonderful, majestic and totally amazing were a few coined. The itinerary was extremely varied and catered for everyone's needs. Since our guide Stanley was so knowledgeable of both the area and it's people it made it even better since we also were able to interact more with the locals than we would otherwise have done. I'm not sure what my expectations of this trip were pre-departure, but whatever they were they were exceeded 100 fold.
