This is a magical trip riding beautiful and spirited Marwari horses through rural Rajasthan, observing a countryside still relatively untouched by the modern world. Staying in converted forts and palaces, I felt privileged to be invited to experience the traditional ceremonies at first hand; the annual Diwali blessing and daily opium ceremony with Prodi, and the Diwali celebrations in general. I was humbled by the warm welcome we received from both our hosts and the local villagers, and I think as many photographs were taken of us by the locals as we took of them. The whole trip was immense fun, and I can't wait to visit again.
