A superb trip - the North West Frontier Province and the Northern areas are in a beautiful part of the world, with fascinating history and cultures - from Alexander to Osama. Plenty of hiking high up in the mountains, and shopping in the bazaars kept the whole group happy, as did Kalash homebrew, Mastuj apple brandy, cuerese (?) beer on the KKH! The region's tourist industry was badly affected by 9/11 so the sight of 12 foreigners is guaranteed to generate excitement, waves and hellos.
