In 2009 Kate, and her husband Ludo, joined our inaugural trip to the remote Wakhan Corridor in northern Afghanistan. On a journey that was not without incidents – crossing swollen rivers and ice-topped mountain passes – Kate so fell in love with the place that she returned two years later while making her Wild Shepherdess series.
