The Wild Walk in the Taurus Mountains had everything: good scenery (mountains, forests, riverside and meadows) and walking (sometimes a little steep by UK standards), plenty of wild flowers to identify, plenty of birds and animals - and the sound of sheep and goat bells to accompany us on most days.

Our village stays and tea-shop forays showed us a little of how the locals live, and gave us a good break from the frantic rush of life in the Western world. It was humbling to see how some of the people survive well on so little in material terms.
