Iran must be the best kept secret in terms of travel destinations in the UK. But when you get there and see all the French, German, Italian, Polish ... visitors and experience what Iran has to offer you'll realise we have been really missing something. There were so many highlights on our trip. Isfahan was great (though lots of tourists); Kashan; Shiraz; Yazd; Tehran; Abyaneh; Dena Mountains, Bavanat .... The ability to see Iranians living their daily lives (esp. in mosques and shrines) as well as the historical and geographical/geological sights.
