People at work thought we were mad to go to Yemen (and they had never heard of Djibouti!) Yemen was amazing, completely unlike anywhere we have been in the Middle East before. The houses were of a very distinctive style and we saw them clinging to mountain ridges and rocky crags everywhere. It really was incredible. What were the highlights of the Red Sea Explorer?... Hyena man, Lake Abe mud/rock formations, learning to dive for the first time, the whale sharks that came to the boat at night and Yemen (all of it, everything about Yemen was fantastic - food, scenery, architecture, people, weather!)
