This was a busy trip but to miss out anything would have diminished the experience. There was a good balance between hectic sightseeing, cities and quieter stops and relaxation. The trip worked like clockwork throughout, with Jude on top of everything at all times. Her knowledge and obvious love of India were infectious. .

For me, visiting Ravla Khempur and its village and seeing a bit of everyday life was one of the highlights, and we found wandering around the fort at Kishanghar highly rewarding. The major monuments are fantastic of course, but I liked the low-key things best….
