Sunnymead Estate is a charming family run heritage guest house, located in a tranquil spot in Shimla. Considered to be one of the oldest colonial cottages in Shimla, it has been lovingly restored by the family. There are four charming rooms, all with private bathrooms, overlooking the beautiful cottage style gardens. This guesthouse is charming but basic, the rooms don’t have a television, room service or phones. The dining room is located on the ground floor of the house, overlooking the front garden, and the hosts serve the most delicious home cooked breakfasts and dinners. The guest house does not serve lunch, but with multiple restaurant options in Shimla nearby, you will have no problem finding a meal. Additionally, the hosts are happy to make packed picnics on prior request. The house has a wonderful collection of books in the small library, which adds to the homely and relaxed atmosphere.
