Bardia Nature Lodge, Bardia National Park

Located close to Bardia National Park and between Tharu villages, Bardia Nature Lodge is a family owned property committed to the environment and the community. The rooms are set across cottages and towers designed in a Tharu style and using traditional building methods and locally sourced, re-purposed materials so as to reduce the impact on the environment. Each cottage is simple, clean and modern with hand made wooden furniture and bright textiles, all are en suite and have a terrace for sitting out. The towers are built on elevated platforms to give views of the river and forests, ideal for spotting wildlife. Guests can take meals in the dining room where local and international dishes are served. Along with the design, the lodge is committed to the environment through energy and water saving, recycling and waste reduction as well as working with the local community to provide employment and training. There are a range of activities through which guests can experience the natural surroundings and culture such as jeep and walking safaris, village visits, star gazing and bird watching.
