With a stunning river front location, Sala Done Khone is undoubtedly the place to stay on the islands, combining comfortable characterful accommodation and historic charm. The 25 rooms are in three distinct styles. The French Residences have a grand colonial feel, the Ban Lao rooms have a more traditional wooden Lao design and finally the floating bungalows for the true riverside stay. The hotel has a charming floating restaurant which serves good local food and is a great spot to while away hours whilst enjoying river life. If there is a hotel that sums up the atmosphere and feel of Siphandon, then Sala Done Khone, with its laidback friendly atmosphere and riverside location, is the place.
