Travel deep into the heart of Swedish and Norwegian Lapland on this all-encompassing tour, taking in the best accommodations and activities on offer. This breath-taking adventure takes you across frozen seas and snow-covered forests, as you journey from the shores of the Lulea archipelago to the fjords of Northern Norway and Tromso, the ‘Paris of the North’. You’ll enjoy winter activities such as husky sledding, hover crafting, snowshoeing, dinner on ice, plus more!
Begin on an island overlooking the frozen waters of the Luleå archipelago, Sweden, providing the perfect setting for an exhilarating snowshoe safari, snowmobile tour, hover crafting adventure and dog sledding activity. It is then onto one of Swedish Lapland’s most interesting accommodations, the Treehotel, an otherworldly experience within the forests of Harads. Following a wonderful candlelit meal on a frozen lake here, it is onto Kiruna by train.
Surely one of the biggest highlights of Swedish Lapland is the ICEHOTEL in Kiruna. Spend one night in a room carved from the ice of the Torne River and sample flavours of the region from a five-course menu, served on ice. You’ll then head deep into the beautiful winter wilderness to spend two nights at Bjorkliden near Abisko National Park, home to the renowned Abisko Sky Station, one of the best places on earth to view the incredible spectacle of the Northern Lights.
The final leg of the journey sees you crossing the border into Norway, where endless pine forests and towering snow-covered mountains amongst gorgeous fjords await. Spend two nights at Lyngen Experience Lodge for the chance to see whales swimming amongst the freezing waters (seasonal). Finally, travel back to civilisation as you discover the charms of Tromsø, Lapland’s cultural capital.
