Governmental Travel Advice disclaimer
I acknowledge that I am booking on this tour with the knowledge that the itinerary visits areas to which travel is often advised against by the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCDO), the US State Department, and Smart Traveller (AUS GOV), and/or other equivalent governmental organisations.. I declare that I have read the advice relevant to my trip and am happy to travel anyway. I assume and accept the risks associated with such travel.
I understand that Wild Frontiers takes their responsibilities seriously with regards to assessing the risk involved in travelling contrary to governmental advice and that I am welcome to discuss any concerns I may have with them.
Additionally I understand that it is a mandatory booking condition of Wild Frontiers that I have a suitable travel insurance policy in place for the duration of my trip. I further understand and acknowledge that as most standard policies exclude cover when travelling contrary to governmental advice, I will purchase (or have purchased) insurance which is not subject to any such exclusion. For additional insurance guidance and information, please see below.
Important Insurance Information When Travelling Contrary to Governmental Advice
Wild Frontiers strongly recommends that you confirm the details of your policy directly with your insurer at the time of booking and ensure you are happy with the level of protection it provides.
If your insurance does not include full cover, including for pre-existing medical conditions, it will be highly unlikely that you will be able to make a successful claim in the event of an incident. This could result in significant personal costs, such as medical expenses or repatriation, which would not be recoverable from your insurer and which Wild Frontiers cannot assist with. In most cases, these costs will need to be paid before emergency assistance, including medical care, is provided.
For general information purposes only, please find below the details of some travel insurance providers that might be able to help with coverage when travelling contrary to governmental advice.
- Battleface
- Campbell Irvine (Lloyds of London)
- High Risk Voyager
- Visitors Coverage (US Clients Only)
- Iati
- Hotspot
Please note that we are not able to recommend or advise on specific insurance policies, nor can we confirm that they will necessarily offer cover for you when travelling contrary to governmental advice. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to recommend or advise on any insurance policy.
It is important that you personally review any policy carefully and ensure it offers the level of cover that suits your individual needs and the requirements of Wild Frontiers, including for the type of trip you're taking.
We strongly recommend checking the policy documents in full and contacting the provider directly if you have any questions about what is included/excluded.
