Ruaha River Lodge, Ruaha National Park

Found amidst a series of rocky kopjes on a majestic sweep of the Ruaha River, the lodge is ideal for exploring the wilds of the Ruaha National Park. Although a relatively large lodge with 24 stone chalets, there is always a lovely atmosphere and spacing of the chalets, and the size of the public areas, means that there is always a peaceful feeling of isolation and privacy. The chalets are all fronted by a large veranda complete with tables and chair which make for great spots to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Inside the chalets are spacious and comfortable with small seating areas, mosquito net draped beds and en-suite bathrooms boasting hot and cold running water. There are two dining areas, one down by the river well suited for breakfast, and another high on the kopje with stunning views to the surrounding area, ideal for lunch and dinner. The lodge operates morning, afternoon or all-day game drives through the national park, all enjoyed in open-sided 4x4 vehicles and in the company of a highly experienced guiding team. In addition, fly camping for a minimum of two nights can be arranged upon request.
