The park is one of the most undisturbed protected areas in the plain region of Terai and is home to an outstanding variety of more than 250 species of birds, 30 different mammals and numerous varieties of water animals and reptiles. Bardia is also home to the endangered Royal Bengal tiger, Nepal's famous one-horned rhinoceros and other animals such as elephant, gharial crocodile and swamp deer. The best time to visit the park is during early summer, autumn and winter when the weather is dry and warm.

Take a jeep safari in Bardia
