Six Senses Laamu is set in the unspoilt and remote Laamu Atoll on Olhuveli Island deep in the Indian Ocean, surrounded by a stunning coral reef. It takes a 35 minute domestic flight from the international airport to the Laamu’s Kadhdhoo airport and a 15 minute speedboat transfer to get to this stunning luxury retreat. The accommodation options include 97 stunning beachfront, lagoon and ocean water villas on this beautiful palm fringed island. All the villas include private decks with beautiful views, and the high category villas come with a private pool. Six Senses is known for having some of best restaurants and chefs in the Maldives and with three restaurants and bars to choose from, including an alfresco ice cream parlour, you will certainly be spoilt for choice. Some of the more active activities include kayaking, catamaran sailing, wind surfing, fishing, wakeboarding, stand up paddle boarding, surfing, and of course snorkeling and diving. For something a little different there are also cooking classes, sunset dolphin-viewing boat trips, cultural excursions to the local islands with a guide, and even a cinema under the stars! Como Cocoa Island, South Male Atoll
A 40-minute speedboat journey from Male airport takes you to the stunning Cocoa Island, located in a quiet spot in the South Atoll. This intimate private resort offers understated luxury. The villas are inspired by local dhoni boats, built with wood using traditional methods. The villas and suites are perched over the water and connected to the resort by wooden walkways. OZEN Life Maddhoo is located in South Male Atoll on the island of Maadhoo, a 40-minute speedboat journey from Male airport. This beautiful all-inclusive luxury resort is a newer addition to the Maldives, having opened in 2016. Spread over an expansive turquoise lagoon, OZEN features a total of 90 standalone villas. There are 14 earth beach-front villas, positioned on a soft beautiful sandy beach and all equipped with modern luxury amenities, with 17 additional earth villas also offering a beautiful private pool. The 49 over-water villas have been built on stilts, with expansive views overlooking the horizon.
