Madagascar What To Do

Cycle through rural Antsirabe

Enjoy a unique tour around the lakes, villages and landscapes of Antsirabe in a shared or private group. The aim of the tour is to go into the heart of the rural region and bridge the gap between different cultures. The route will take you from Antsirabe to Lake Andraikiba, Lake Tritriva and Betafo before returning to Antsirabe. The total distance is 63km, with 30km being on dirt road. As you pedal to the crater lakes of Andraikiba and Tritriva, you will pass the typical landscape of the Merina ethnic group. Discover the stories and myths of the lakes, with maybe the chance to dip in one, before cycling to Belazao village. See Mount Tritriva emerging as you go. We will stop at a small mountain (1800m) for a picnic lunch. Once back at Antsirabe, indulge in a cyclist’s massage, the perfect end to an in-depth tour of rural Madagascar.
