Blessed with a cultural and culinary heritage that is the envy of many of its neighbours, the country is home to a rich diversity of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, timeless landscapes and exquisite boutique hotels. You’ll sample the country’s famed cuisine and discover its cultural landmarks, visit some of the most important archaeological ruins in the region and walk amongst the ancient cedars of the Qadisha Valley. In Tyre you’ll then have ample opportunity to spend some free time enjoying the charming markets and Mediterranean beaches of one of the world’s oldest cities, whilst the elegant facades of the Beiteddine Palace provide the perfect backdrop to an unforgettable lunch in the shadow of one of the country’s most famous cultural landmarks.

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN BEIRUT

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN BEIRUT
On arrival in the Lebanese capital you will be met by your VIP representative and escorted to the VIP Lounge, where your passports will be collected, and immigration procedures completed before you are transferred by private vehicle to your city hotel. Filled with old world charm and sumptuous elegance, your hotel lies amongst the quiet backstreets of east Beirut, just a short distance from the city's bustling downtown area.
DAY 2: BEIRUT

DAY 2: BEIRUT
Reputed to be one of the oldest cities in the world, Beirut is once more earning an enviable reputation as one of the most dynamic and captivating cities in the Levant. Today's discovery of its cultural and historic heart includes a visit to the city's wonderful National Museum and a food tour that delves deep into the country's rich culinary traditions. Discovering some hidden gems, far removed from the usual tourist haunts, you'll get a chance to savour Lebanese food like a local.
DAY 3: BEIRUT - BAALBEK - KSARA WINERY - BEIRUT

DAY 3: BEIRUT - BAALBEK - KSARA WINERY - BEIRUT
The spectacular Roman remains of Baalbek can justifiably lay claim to being one of Lebanon's greatest archaeological monuments. Here lie the remains of the magnificent Temple of Bacchus and the Temple of Jupiter, whose Corinthian columns are amongst the largest of their kind left from ancient antiquity. The day also includes a visit to the Ksara winery, the oldest in the country, for wine tasting and lunch, before driving back to Beirut later this afternoon.
DAY 4: BEIRUT - BYBLOS

DAY 4: BEIRUT - BYBLOS
Departing the capital after breakfast, the morning's first stop will be at the vast limestone cave complex at Jeitta, one of Lebanon's most extraordinary natural wonders. From here you then continue on towards the ancient souqs and spectacular UNESCO ruins of Byblos, whose lineage can be dated back some 7,000 years. You spend this evening enjoying the boutique charms of a five-star hotel overlooking the waters of Byblos Harbour and the Mediterranean Sea.
DAY 5: BYBLOS - QADISHA VALLEY - BYBLOS

DAY 5: BYBLOS - QADISHA VALLEY - BYBLOS
Following a free morning to enjoy the Mediterranean charms of Byblos, drive to the famed Cedars of Lebanon, the country's national symbol. Considered the last remnants of the ancient cedars that once blanketed the landscapes of the Qadisha Valley and Mount Lebanon, some of these magnificent trees are reputedly to be nearly 2,000 years old. After a chance to enjoy a walk and lunch amongst these timeless landscapes, you'll then return to Byblos for a second evening.
DAY 6: BYBLOS - BEIRUT - TYRE

DAY 6: BYBLOS - BEIRUT - TYRE
Travelling back by way of Beirut this morning, you'll board a luxury speedboat to enjoy a half day's cruise amongst the spectacular coastal waters off Tyre (subject to weather conditions). There will be opportunities to enjoy sunbathing and swimming amongst the clear waters, as well as a relaxed lunch on board, before you disembark in Tyre. For the next three nights you will then enjoy the engaging charms and Lebanese hospitality of the exquisite Dar Alma Boutique Hotel, located on Tyre's Mediterranean waterfront.
DAY 7: TYRE

The next two days are free to relax and enjoy the delights of this historic city at your leisure. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, blessed with ancient Phoenician ruins and a magnificent Roman hippodrome, Tyre can lay claim, along with Beirut and Byblos, to be one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. Legendary birthplace of Europa and Dido, its cobblestone streets and colourful houses make it one of the most photogenic towns anywhere along the coast and its beach is considered to be one of the cleanest in Lebanon.
DAY 8: TYRE

DAY 9: TYRE - SIDON - BEIRUT

DAY 9: TYRE - SIDON - BEIRUT
The journey back to Beirut today takes you by way of Tyre's stunning Crusader Castle and the port town of Sidon (Saida), whose wonderful labyrinthine medieval souqs, including an interesting soap museum and limestone khan, provide the perfect spot to break the journey. You'll also visit the spectacular 19th century Beiteddine Palace, considered one of the country's greatest cultural treasures, where you'll enjoy lunch at the Mir Amin Palace, one of Beiteddine's historical landmarks. From here you then head on to Beirut for your final evening.
DAY 10: DEPART BEIRUT

DAY 10: DEPART BEIRUT
Your luggage will be collected from your hotel today and you will then be escorted back to the airport's VIP Lounge, where your representatives will be waiting to assist with immigration procedures prior to you being driven out to your aircraft.

This coastal boutique hotel, although offering all the charm and comforts of a modern hotel, is steeped in history. Originally built in 1967 and given a new lease of life in 2010, it still manages to embrace the past with clever preservation of historical details. The hotel offers an array of dining choices, in addition to an elegant hotel bar offering the experience of cocktails at sunset. Not to be forgotten is the sundeck, with its beach access and terrace stretching out into the Mediterranean Sea. Byblos is known for its fantastic eateries and there are many other delicous options nearby along the harbour or in the old town.
Dar Alma, Tyre
This beachfront property is located near the iconic castle of Tyre, allowing for sightseeing and water sporting opportunities. Originally built in 1967 and given a new lease of life in 2010, it still manages to embrace the past with clever preservation of historical details. The facilities are modern, but the stoned archways of the restaurant and beautiful tiles of the guestrooms are an ode to historic Lebanese culture. The hotel is decorated in a modern blend of blue and yellow interiors, adding to its fresh and vibrant atmosphere. The 10 guest rooms and suites are spacious and look out onto the Mediterranean Sea or the town.
