Located in the small rural village of Ashu, Kemin Guesthouse offers a wonderful way to relax in remote Kyrgyzstan, surrounded by the scenic hills and mountains of the Chon Kemin Valley. The quaint, wooden restaurant serves local, homemade meals. Rooms are simple with single beds, individual portable heaters and characterful Kyrgyz design and colour. Bathrooms in the accommodation are also humble and well-built with hot water. Featured throughout the guest house, restaurant and rooms are handmade wooden furniture and large windows with views to the surrounding valley landscapes. The hotel can organise walks and horse rides, for an additional cost, to explore rural Kyrgyzstan. Due to its remote location a stay here is perfect for those wishing to experience rural Kyrgyzstan in a splendid natural setting. The main activities whilst here include hiking, horse riding and relaxing at the cosy guesthouse as there isn’t much to do in the village.
Kyrgyzstan is one of my favourite countries - the scenery is unmatched pretty much anywhere else.
