Day 1: Tour Starts in Kolkata
The tour starts in Kolkata. On arrival at our hotel we'll meet Mark Seymour and fellow photographers for an introduction to the tour and to hear more about what to expect from the photography training and locations over the coming days.
Day 2: In Kolkata
We'll head out for our first full day in Kolkata, visiting the colourful Flower Market & the bustling Hooghly River area.
Day 3: In Kolkata
Today we'll focus upon everyday life in and around Howrah Junction railway station & the communities who make up the vast railway track slums.
Day 4: In Kolkata
Kolkata is noted for being the 'literary capital of India', so today we'll spend time visiting the impressive book market and Indian Coffee House.
Day 5: In Kolkata
Today we'll head to the new market before visiting The Hope Foundation to meet some of the trainees who are learning and developing their skills for a future career in hospitality.
Day 6: Kolkata - Jodhpur
We say farewell to Kolkata and take a flight to Jodhpur (via Delhi). Time permitting we'ill have an introductory stroll through the lanes and streets of the ‘Blue City’.
Day 7: In Jodhpur
Today we explore the blue quarter and old town plus the colourful bazaar - a superb place to get some great photos of everyday life in a busy Indian city hard at work!
Day 8: In Jodhpur
This morning we visit the colossal Meherangarh Fort imposingly located on a cliffside overlooking the'Blue City'.
Day 9: Jodhpur - Bhenswara
Saying goodbye to Jodhpur we'll visit the Bishnoi Tribe en route to Bhenswara before checking in to our wonderful heritage hotel for the evening.
Day 10: In & Around Bhenswara
This morning we'll take a leisurely walk through the village and after lunch head out on a leopard and shepherd safari in jeeps to visit the Rabari people.
Day 11: Tour Ends in Jodhpur
After breakfast we'll drive back to Jodhpur in time for this afternoon's return flight.
