Leaving Bariloche along national route 237 you follow the Limay River valley. After 35 km you arrive at the Amphitheater, a place where you can observe the work of the river on the landscape. Further on you go through Valle Encantado with all its magical rock formations. Before crossing the bridge at Confluencia (where the rivers Traful and Limay meet) you make a short trip into Cuyín Manzano, 5km to see more dramatic rock formations. After crossing the Minero River the road borders Lake Traful at the Traful lookout, an impressive 70 metre high cliff overlooking the lake. A little further on you arrive at the small village of "Villa Traful", where you can have lunch, tea or try the homemade chocolates and pastry. The road borders the lake to its end going through the Valdivian forest, then over the Portezuelo pass to meet the Seven Lakes route, bordering Lake Correntoso, to carry on to Villa La Angostura. Once there you can visit the Río Bonito waterfall.
