Wild Frontiers Foundation - £5000 raised for Baleygon School!

20th July 2016

With a generous donation of £1300 from a benefactor, whose wishes were to support grass root children’s educational projects, we have reached this year’s target to raise £5000 and ensure long-term sustainability for the Wild Frontiers Foundation sponsored school in the mountain village of Baleygon, northern Pakistan.

The monies raised this year will contribute to the ongoing running of the school, enable us to look to employ a third teacher and purchase further educational materials for the 100 students, who are thriving in their education in this otherwise cut off region of Pakistan.

Other funds raised for the school this year have come through the generosity of Wild Frontiers clients, many of whom have visited the school and seen first-hand the benefits the school brings to the students, teachers and wider village community. Add to this the funds raised through our Evening of Adventure at the Royal Geographical Society and a successful night at the Pakistan High Commission earlier this year, and we hit £5000!

Thanks to everyone who has contributed by donating money, buying event tickets and raffle tickets. Your help is hugely appreciated and your efforts will go a long way to help the students of Baleygon School to a rightful education. As usual the work doesn’t stop there as we continue to access the needs of the students and teachers in Baleygon and the Wild Frontiers Foundation continues to put fundraising efforts into hitting 2016 targets for other projects close to our hearts, including the purchase of land for a new Kalash primary school in Pakistan, our hospitality traineeship programme in India and e-learning classrooms in Ethiopia.
