£1440 Raised at Pakistan High Commission Evening for the Wild Frontiers Foundation

3rd May 2017

Thank you to those who came along to our ‘Pakistan – Adventure Travel’s Best Kept Secret’ evening and helped raise £1440 for the Wild Frontiers Foundation school project in the remote mountain village of Baleygon in northern Pakistan.

It was a great pleasure to hold the event in the lavish surrounds of the Pakistan High Commission in London.

A full-house of around 120 guests were treated to an evening of travel tales from author and filmmaker Mick Conefrey, who spoke of thrilling historical expedition attempts to climb K2 ‘the impossible mountain’, while journalist Matthew Green recalled his trek over the remote Hispar Pass in the Karakoram Mountains last year and Wild Frontiers MD and founder, Jonny Bealby, spoke of his own travel experiences in northern Pakistan over the past 20 years and the strong friendships forged along the way.

The funds for our Baleygon Village School project were raised through door sales, a raffle and a very generous raffle fund matching donation from two clients and friends to Wild Frontiers. Huge thank you for this amazing support.

Many thanks to the Pakistan High Commission for the warm welcome and hot samosas!
