Arun was born in Fort Cochin. During school, Arun was always interested in finding out more about travellers and the countries they came from. After graduation he trained to be a guide and received his licence through the Government of India in 2005. His love for language and culture took him to Delhi where he learnt to speak Spanish and English. Since living in Delhi, Arun has led travellers from across the globe.
Q: How did you fall into tour leading?
A: Travelling and exploring new places has always been my passion, so tour leading seemed like the perfect career path for me!
Q: What do you like most about tour leading?
A: Interacting with people, sharing my experiences and learning from the fascinating people I get to travel with.
Q: Where is your favourite part of the world?
A: India - Mysore and its surrounding area.
Q: What’s the craziest request you’ve ever had from a client?
A: Asking for a bullet train in place of a two-hour local train ride!
Q: What’s the one thing you couldn’t travel without?
A: Two things - my smartphone and my ID card. Very useful!
