Most of Naida’s adult life she dreamt about traveling the world — a dream that came true when she got the opportunity to move to Argentina for six months in 2006. Returning to her home in Sweden after her time in South America, Naida realized that she wanted to experience more so she made a big move to Australia for her first job in the travel industry, consulting on country-wide tours.
Another one of Naida’s big dreams came true when she took the opportunity to work for an NGO in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Having fallen in love with Cambodia, she is now looking to help other people discover the region’s beauty. Naida works in Journeys Within and Wild Frontiers’ office in Siem Reap, working with our ground operations partners in Southeast Asia to ensure our guests have the trip of a lifetime.
Q: Favourite city:
A: Sarajevo! It is a city that has gone through some much darkness but has come out stronger from it. I have never been to place where hundreds of cafes are packed with people day and night.
Q: Favourite country:
A: Cambodia! There is a reason that I live here and have done so for the past 4 years. This little country has everything you would ever need, with the Angkor Park as its highlight and if you ever get bored of that you can jump on a 50 minute flight to a white beach with clear waters or take a 6 hour bus and hike with elephants.
Q: Favourite meal:
A: Ćevapčići… there is a reason they are the national dish of Bosnia and Herzegovina!
Q: Most memorable journey:
A: A camping trip to Uluru with my best friend. Even though I am not a big fan of camping, this was amazing. I have never seen so many stars in the sky.
Q: Next on must-see list:
A: A safari somewhere in Africa
