Karamveer (Monti), born in a Rajput family from the southern part Rajasthan, is an arts graduate who is passionate about travel, culture and wildlife. Monti is a keen angler and cyclist, and loves to share his experiences of India with people.
Q: How did you fall into tour leading?
A: I graduated from Udaipur- the city of lakes, where I started to work part time in the hospitality industry with various responsibilities, including tour leading.
Q: What do you like most about tour leading?
A: I like to show my group what India is all about –the culture, architecture and local markets. I feel content when my group is happy with the ‘Indian’ experience.
Q: Where is your favourite part of the world?
A: Of all the places, I have a longing to visit Africa. The stories of African wildlife fascinate me.
Q: What was your biggest travel highlight?
A: Varanasi in central India and Rani-Ki-Vav in Patan are my biggest travel highlights because of their enchanting traditions and architecture.
Q: What’s the one thing you couldn’t travel without?
A: My sunglasses!
Q: Which famous person would you most like to travel with?
A: I would love to travel with the famous American actor Johnny Depp.
