Current Vacancies: Marketing Manager

Wild Frontiers have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join their London based team. The Marketing Manager will report directly to the Head of Marketing and be part of the Marketing team. 

About the company:

Wild Frontiers is a privately owned, award-winning adventure travel company, founded in 2002 by travel writer Jonny Bealby. With offices in Gunnersbury, West London and the USA, they specialise in providing stylish and original small group tours and tailor-made holidays worldwide.

The role of Marketing Manager will include the following main duties:

  • Together with the Head of Marketing, put together and implement a monthly marketing plan.
  • Help the Head of Marketing with the delivery of annual marketing campaigns.
  • Together with the Head of Marketing, help manage and build successful relationships with external suppliers such as tourist boards and media agencies.
  • Manage day-to-day marketing activities and provide the Marketing team with what it needs to deliver to its full potential.
  • Report on weekly/monthly KPIs.
  • Manage Wild Frontiers’ occasional print advertising.
  • Assist in the writing, design and printing of brochures, the company magazine, newsletters and direct mail letters.
  • Together with the Digital Marketing Executive, improve performance of all online channels, such as PPC, SEO and targeted advertising, including covering when the Digital Marketing Executive is away.
  • Assist in the writing and publishing of web pages and the administration and upkeep of the Wild Frontiers website.
  • Work with the Marketing Executive to create inspiring blog and social content.
  • Together with the Marketing Executive, develop relationships with third-party bloggers for content such as local city guides.
  • When the Marketing Executive is away, write and publish blogs, send e-newsletters and update the company’s social media accounts.
  • Attend Trade shows and functions when required.
  • Help out with ad-hoc marketing activities when required including assisting with events, Responsible Tourism initiatives and PR requests.
  • Proofread e-newsletters and blog content.
  • Together with the rest of the marketing team, come up with new and innovative ways to promote Wild Frontiers.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in marketing and monitor competitor marketing activity.
  • Manage the company’s Twitter account.



  • Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience working in marketing
  • Excellent all-round marketing skills are required, from a sound knowledge of digital marketing to social media, and from website performance to print advertising
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • The chosen candidate will be bursting with creativity and innovative ideas
  • Excellent and proven track record in achieving results through marketing activity
  • Strong planning skills are essential
  • Previous experience of working within the travel industry is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong team player with a can-do attitude
  • Experience at working with and briefing agencies and freelancers

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm or 09:30am to 6:00pm although you need to be flexible on this during busy periods
  • Occasionally you will have to attend trade shows and functions as required.
  • Approximately 10 working days may be spent overseas.
