An incredible wildlife experience awaits you over the next 11 days, as you venture deep into the heart of the Southern Ocean. A dazzling continent of snow and ice awaits, where miles of ice 2,000 metres thick and giant tabular icebergs share this breathless landscape with mighty whales, giant albatross and thousands of penguins.
Departing from the port of Ushuaia, the southernmost city on the South American mainland, you’ll sail down the Beagle Channel and across the notorious Drake Passage, one of the most infamous waterways in the world. Accompanied along the way by an inquisitive array of seabirds, the journey takes you on towards the vast expanse of the Antarctic Peninsula, where you will be able to enjoy the full majesty of the setting with daily excursions by zodiac boats.
You’ll encounter giant icebergs, breeding colonies of seemingly limitless penguins, Antarctic fur seals, whales and a baffling wealth of seabirds. With daily lectures on board from the resident experts, the journey will be mesmerising and you will return to Ushuaia in time for the flight on to Buenos Aires.
