Explore off-the-beaten-path Peru without missing any of the highlights. Home to one of the ‘Wonders of the World’, Machu Picchu, Peru has long been a bucket list destination. Steeped in so much history the country still has so much to offer for those wishing to visit an alternative Peru and experience its history, nature and culture from new and exciting angles.
Starting the tour in the cosmopolitan hub of Lima, South America’s culinary capital, you will then casually move to the quaint colonial town of Arequipa, the gateway to the formidable Colca Canyon watched over by the enormous Andean Condors. You will then journey overland to remote points of interest in interior parts of the south, ready for the wonderful trek to ‘Rainbow Mountain’.
The latter part of the journey offers all the classic ‘must-see’ sites such as Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and Cusco, via unique experiences atypical of standard tours. Explore the Sacred Valley on foot whilst glamping with an indigenous Andean family and avoid staying in touristy entry towns such as Aguas Calientes, instead taking the scenic vistadome train to Machu Picchu for the day and lodging on a remote private island on Lake Titicaca.
This is an example itinerary to give you an idea of what we can offer.
