I knew very little about Georgia before my trip, but I can’t recommend it enough. Delicious food and wine and beautiful scenery. Tbilisi has some great architecture, from the ancient through to the modern. The mountains were spectacular, and there can’t be many places so close to home that you can set up camp and have a whole valley to yourself. Wine tasting was a highlight, as were some memorable meals. The trip was so varied, I felt like I’d been away for ages.

Georgia is relatively compact, so you can see a lot in ten days and not spend too much time on the bus. Thanks for the introduction, Wild Frontiers. It’s not a place I would ever have thought about going to and I’m so glad I did.
