I had almost a year to plan and look forward to our Trip to Ladakh. I took advantage of a discounted price for my first Wild Frontiers group trip and would say it was worth every penny and all the anticipation. This journey featured a great combination of activities, covering long distances and spectacular scenery with a friendly group, the occasional snatches of free time to catch your breath within an ever-changing landscape of mountains, waterfalls, snowy peaks and high passes. Going north from Delhi to Shimla and Ladakh gave us a historical perspective, a gradual introduction to the changing weather and landscapes, the flora and fauna, the cultural and religious differences among the people and their varied lifestyles. From the frenetic rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, the disturbing images of the Tibetan museum in Mcleodganj, the majestic views across the Ladakhi plains to the gentle camel safari in the Nubra Valley this tour delivered something for everyone.
