What an extraordinary country. I expected wonderful countryside, extraordinary painted churches and a vision of a bucolic rural life. I got all that but also great hospitality in simple farmhouses and I loved the warmth of our hosts, guide and driver. The walking over mountains through flower strewn meadows and meeting shepherds, watching people scythe their crops and build their haystacks was just perfect.
