The Raiders of the Lost Ark tour from Nairobi to Addis was a fantastic journey across northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia. We crossed mountain ranges and extinct volcanoes, deserts and lush forests and we camped by the remote jade sea of Lake Turkana. We saw a wide diversity of animals and birds. Above all were the people – in particular the tribes in Kenya’s remote Turkana region and Ethiopia’s Omo valley – people still following a way of life that has vanished elsewhere. This was a memorable journey.
