An amazingly rich cultural experience. It is not every day that you watch a man cleaning his grandfather's bones, climb a 1500 year old mayan pyramid or see a shaman healing ceremony. The day of the dead celebrations seem much more benign than our Hallowe'en and the parade of people disguised as skeletons in Mexico City was great fun - taking a selfie next to a skeleton in a ballgown was a new experience too. After a hard day's sightseeing you can relax with a well earned margarita (or two) or maybe an aged mescal knowing that everything is all arranged and sorted for tomorrow.
