I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the tour. I think it captured the spirit of the Silk Road with a good mix of guided visits to historic cities and the weird and wacky Ashgabat plus opportunities for independent exploration. The gentle adventure of traveling/camping in the desert and the thrill of crossing the borders and Oxus River on foot were also great fun!
