I knew that Mongolia would be an incredible country to travel around, but my one concern was about food. Traditional Mongolia food and vegetarianism don’t mix that well but there was a huge amount on offer – from numerous vegan cafes in UB to incredibly creative and delicious dishes served up in ger camps and lots of noodles and vegetables in local restaurants. Mongolians like their food, they cook it well and they serve up big portions, so all in all I was pleasantly surprised
