Bolivia lived up to everything I had been told and that made me want to visit - a beautiful country with lovely people. Lake Titicaca was bluer than I imagined, La Paz fascinating and chaotic, everywhere stunning mountains... The mine in Potosi was shocking (though it was very exciting to blow up a pumpkin with dynamite), and there was the unexpected excitement of seeing the train that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid robbed, just quietly rusting away in a deserted mining town. I'm not good at picking out major highlights, I enjoyed the whole Bolivia experience! Lake Titicaca: staying on the Isla del Sol and being able to walk across the top of the island before the day trippers arrived. I loved the friendly chaos of La Paz and the Salt Flats of course. The hacienda at La Candelaria was very interesting to see the other side of the coin, and 'the road of death' going to Coroico.
