The Wild Walk in Montenegro lived up to its promise of varied landscapes and some walking on most days. There were no great distances to be covered by any form of transport in between destinations, as the country is a manageable size. During our week, we travelled by boat, train, jeep and minibus, which is a record number of transport types on one trip, in our experience of Wild Frontiers.

A real bonus was the sight of pastures full of wild flowers in all the colours of the rainbow - and there was still snow around in June. There was plenty of small wildlife, butterflies and an abundance of birds, so I was very happy about that too.
