I feel very humbled by the many experiences I've had in the Wakhan, and at the same time privileged to have had such a brilliant adventure in a very remote part of the world,in a country which is riddled with conflict. I felt very safe in this part of Afghanistan, not once did I feel threatened in any way. The highlights? Too many to mention but here goes : Trek up to Kotal E Warum pass (amazing views). Visiting a Wakhi home and to see the family life. Sarhad E Broghil (interesting place with lots of walks around-enjoyed my spare day there). Meeting local people. Overall a great adventure!
