We didn't really know what to expect from Sri Lanka but with Wild Frontiers we had a memorable and exciting honeymoon that we will always remember. Our trip was organised so it was hassle free and as relaxing as it could be. As neither of us a very good at lying by pools, our trip was tailored to include plenty of things to do and see, which gave us a real insight into this rapidly developing and diverse country, from haggling buying silk and gems, to white water rafting down the river near Kithulgula where they filmed 'The Bridge Over the River Kwai'. The hotels that were arranged for us were all individually different, very comfortable and everybody we met couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our guide, Kumar, was extremely knowledgeable and knew all the best places to go for local specialities, and we saw breathtaking countryside on our way including some of the enormous tea plantations and parts of the country that look just like England, as well as the picturesque beaches!! Sri Lanka is a place we would definitely go back to!!
