There are so many unforgettable places and events on this trip: the petroglyph in Son Kul, and witnessing the game of Kok Baru. The caravansarai in Tashrabat.. the Kashgar animal market. Meeting a local young man and his friends and mother in Kokand, not to mention all the major Silk Road attractions. Our tour leader Jude was superb. She was helpful, resourceful and her knowledge and interest of the Silk Road added greatly to my understanding and enjoyment of this tour. My advice to other travellers - invest in a good map so you can follow the route as you go.
