I really enjoyed the variety of landscapes seen on this trip, although its main purpose was probably cultural. The churches and monasteries exuded great spirituality and in many cases generated a great sense of awe. The walk up to the alpine church at Kazbegi was the highlight for me! The small group size (8 of us) and a great tour leader (Dario) also helped to create a really friendly group spirit that lasted throughout the two weeks.
