I had a blissful stay at Alladale, walking in the bucolic hills and pastures. Everyone from the chef, the house staff and rangers were charming and very helpful. Annie, the house manager was hard working and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was outstanding, prepared by the wonderful Natasha. The rangers were knowledgeable and really made me see the reserve with better understanding, particularly with regards the importance of planting trees. They have an ambitious programme to plant 1m trees and have already achieved over 800,000 which although sounding impressive, makes one realises how much more is needed when being shown the reserve. All in all I loved my week at Alladale Wilderness Reserve and would go back in a heartbeat.
