The Hill Stations to Kashmir trip is wonderful, encompassing many historically important locations along the route and providing an insight into and understanding of the Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh religions and cultures, as well as the sensitive question of the future of Kashmir. It is a privilege to visit Kashmir after all the years of it being off-limits to most travellers. Do believe all the hype about the houseboats and Lake Dal! The trip also enables the traveller to experience life for everyday Indians by virtue of including rail and road journeys. Marvellous from start to end.
